Clewel Travel · Reims
A private Mercedes collects you at 7:30 a.m., drives to Reims for a Veuve Clicquot cellar tour and the cathedral, and has you back at your Paris hotel around 4 p.m. It suits people who want one famous house without giving up a whole day and evening.

This is the short version of Clewel Travel's private Moët and Veuve Clicquot day. A Mercedes E220 for two or three people, or a minivan for up to seven, picks you up at 7:30 a.m. and drives about two hours to Reims. At 10:00 the Veuve Clicquot cellar tour starts, run by the house's own staff. Then 30 minutes in Reims Cathedral on your own, lunch in Reims, and the road home at 13:30.
You choose the tasting. The Rosé Assemblage option pours two glasses, the rosé and the Brut Yellow Label, with cheese and charcuterie. The 90-minute Advanced option pours four cuvées, including Extra Brut Extra Old and the 2015 vintages. The Premium one sets Yellow Label in magnum against La Grande Dame 2015. If the house is unavailable on your date, the operator offers an alternative or a higher level in advance, which you can accept or cancel for free. One guest ended up at Moët & Chandon after Veuve Clicquot changed its opening days.
Two things to weigh. First, the cancellation rule: free up to 3 days before, not 24 hours like the other tours here. Second, the value: this is a private car for one cellar visit. Veuve Clicquot sells its own visits, and the TGV reaches Reims in about 45 minutes, so a couple can do the same morning by train for a fraction of the price. Early guest reviews are all positive. The driver speaks English but is not a guide; a live guide costs extra.
Your private car collects you in Paris for the 140 km drive to Reims, about two hours.
The cellar tour and tasting, run by the house, at the level you chose.
A self-guided visit to the coronation cathedral. Entry is free.
On your own, or the operator books a restaurant for you.
The drive home, arriving at your hotel around 4 p.m.
Excellent! The whole experience was perfect!
